Eversolo DMP A6 vs IFI Zen Stream

Won’t using iPhone or iPad usbc and dac usbb/usbc ports allow lossless hires 24/192 output from Apple Music
Why eversolo or r7 exists if this can be true ?
Or which dac can provide this functionality ?

Yes stumbled myself and indeed have all answers and also confirmed to be working and better SQ so why should I buy any streamer . Esp I was pondering a decision on power amp + streamer vs integrated w/ dac and BT(so kind of streamer) and no streamer for now and spend more on amp

I think we need a comparison between wiim pro/proplus and the other competitors like zen stream and older versions like arylic s50pro+
I can lend my s50pro+, if someone is willing to do the comparison

I recently restored a bricked iFi Zen Stream from a previously failed reset attempt by another acquaintance. With help from their support team who had been extremely helpful in guiding me step by step over email, I restored the stock firmware first and then did an upgrade to the August 2024 latest firmware 2.32.12. Their support is definitely responsive.

However, the implementation is still buggy in some areas. Out of all the modes, the mode 1 / AIO or All in One is the most stable and plays everything seamlessly, the exclusive modes may not be that much of use unless someone can compare the SQ between modes. But TIDAL Connect implementation is jittery (no matter mode 1 or mode 3 exclusive TIDAL) and audio sometimes get stuck or does not play at all and iFi become nonresponsive.

But playing through USB Audio Player Pro app or similar Bubble UPnP player app the TIDAL works fine, tested up to 24/192 files on the iFi Zen Stream. Quobuz should also follow similar route and continue to play in a stable fashion, confirmed by the acquaintance. Another observation is in spite of a full metal body, it gets (and radiates) heated soon but continues to play through.

I am somehow happier with my WiiM Pro Plus for about the same price and consider that to be a much better option as it is not only having stable implementation but also additional streaming features which can be controlled via the app whereas the ifi App is rudimentary and shows the web UI of Volumio running on the iFi Zen Stream with some 1-2 extra screens to do device select and wifi setup.
