samsung led problem

I had purchased led 40 inch led tv from samsung during june 2010
last week the led got repaired. There was no picture coming in the tv
the service engineer came and said that the color board has gone,
when it was replaced with the color board, the picture was coming
but there was patch on the left side on the tv. THe engg has opined
that the panel must have gone.

can some body tell me the real problem whether the panel might have gone
and if so what will be the cost

my led tv model is 6 series, it is va6000

Most probable candidate is panel. It would be ~50% of TV price.

I had very bad expiriance in nashik.May be you will get good.

I never recomend samsung products to my frends

The service technician has suspected T-Con board to be faulty. He checked with a new one and the picture is back but with a translucent strip of 2 to 2.5 inches on the left side. He says that the panel has also gone faulty and that if just the T con board is replaced, it would go faulty again. Panel would cost 16k it seems.:sad: My point is, whether his statements are correct?

The worst part is, it happened just immediately after the warranty period is over.

Samsung guys seems to have bitten more than they can chew. Very bad service.

better to get a new set by adding more to the repair amount. I don't think they will offer more than 6 months of warranty on the repair.
