Samsung PS51F8500 availability requisition thread

Hi Everybody

As you all know Samsung PS51F8500 has got rave reviews allover the world, unfortunately its not available in India.

In one of the posts User- Naturelover suggested emailing the CEO of Samsung India requesting him to make it available in India.

I am taking this idea of his one step forward and have started this thread to muster support for the PS51F8500 availability in India.

I just emailed him and started this thread.

Please email the CEO of Samsung India and also post your support/response in this thread, so that we will know how many people are interested in this model.

This is a humble request to all of you from a budding fellow Indian videophile

That's a great news. Now that one of the best Plasmas from Samy will be available at a size most of the customers are comfortable with considering the space and cost one has.

Hope they do it soon. This will help people looking for top end plasmas have options. Currently only option at 50/51" is only 50ST60 only.

I am willing to wait till festive season, and hope they won't disappoint. If not will go with 50ST60.

I think they have more margins on LEDs compared to Plasmas and they don't want their plasmas to undercut LED sales...That is my thinking with my conspiracy cap on...

In all seriousness ..their decision to go 40 inches in LEDs may already be hurting them..LG and SONY have gone 42 this year..

There is a ad in OLX says that 51F8500 is available for 99000. Does anybody from Kochi know this seller ? Is it a genuine piece ? What kind of warranty will get ?

Samsung 51F8500 is not available in India, that must be imported model and will not get local warranty.

In their website 64" version only showing. Don't understand the reason behind this. In India not everybody can go for 64" instead they could release 51F8500 to reach many. Anybody knows what are they planning?
