Samsung UA40C6200 LED TV or UA40D6400 LED TV !!!

Hi Folks,

I am new to this community. I need your valuable suggestions in buying Samsung LED TV.

Firstly, I have a discount coupon for Samsung, hence I am going for Samsung only.

I am looking for LED TV with 40 inch size and I have zeroed on UA40C6200 LED TV but due to non-availability of stock this dragged till now.

I came to know through this site about CES 2011 new LED TVs and I am interested with D6400 Series.

My queries are:

1. Shall I wait for D6400 Series or go for C6200? Which is advisable?

2. Will C6200 price reduce more when D6400 Series release?

3. When Samsung will release D6400 Series this year? I have been told it's March 2011? Is it true?

4. Does anyone have clue about the price of 40 inch D6400? Rough figure?

6400 again is edge lid,looks gorgeous,with wifi 120hz refresh,should be prized similarly to the current 6 series models.dont know when exactly it would be out,but by that time 6200 would be off the shelves as its a 2010 model....my guess

actually the questions you have asked are questions to which only you can provide the best answer. Had you asked specific questions related to the performance, panel type of TV, etc then I am sure that the gurus here would have been more than happy to help out (as they have helped me and other members countless times). But you are asking questions relating to whether you should buy now or wait later, a question which would be more suitable for the wife to answer.
As to price reduction of old model when new model is released, ask yourself: what happened to Karisma Kapoor's popularity when Kareena Kapoor came on the scene?
About release date of C6400, you yourself have told us that it is March 2011. Before trying to confirm here you can maybe tell us who told you so. Was it a salesman, or was it regional marketing manager? Or was it doodhwaala??
Some questions are more suited for astrology. How can we know the price of a model before it is released in the market? Before it has been listed in Samsung's website?

You have "zeroed in" on the older model, but there is issue of non-availability of stock. Then you are asking here whether you should wait or not. What choice do you have? Even if anyone tells you kal ho, na ho- buy today, cry tomorrow, you will still have to wait because one model is out of stock while the other is yet to be released.
Try asking questions which are more objective in nature, and you will be surprised at the large number of responses you get.

when i checked in samsung showroom in mysore, he said D series 5000 and 5500 hav already arrived but D6000 and D6400 wud be hitting showrooms late may or early june.
