I have a Sony KLV-S32400A LCD TV set, which is a little over a year old and therefore out of Sony's warranty.

Since last night a peculiar problem has been plaguing my LCD TV set. Images are severely posterized and there seems to be a push in the reds and the yellows in the image at the cost of the blues and the greens. This results in an appalling picture...

I was wondering if anyone could tell me:

What might the problem be with?
What needs to be done to fix it?
An estimation as to how much it will cost to fix?

It may be the lcd panel or the board.Best to check with Sony.
If the price they say is more then 15k,might as well consider a new tv.

Also make sure you use a stabilizer.

I've always used a CVT with it - from the time it was purchased. I'll be consulting Sony in a few days, let's see where the problem lies.

I saw something similar (green and yellow patches) a while ago. The reason was due to dust going into the video board. Initally it was cleaned and then replaced after few months (big money though).

Hope yours is a minor issue. Good luck
