Is it possible to ship tv from amazon.co.uk. Is it safe. If we ship tv from amazon uk how much import duty should we pay, will it be still cheaper than buying through indian dealers? I need suggestion from hifians

Well its not wise to import tv, its little delicate then AVR or Speakers and i dont see much of an price difference unless its running on huge discount, Import Duty is calculated on ur product price, and another scary part is after its landed in india, package has to go through Customs and they will unpack the product and god know wht mood they will be in, so better stick buying here in india...

Customs will not open the package if the packing slip is correct. The TV box will say what the packing slip will say. Plus Amazon.co.uk is not known to fool custom officers. I do not see issues with delivery from abroad to landing port. After all, all flat panels (the display) are imported in India and then manufactured here. Many high end TVs are directly imported.

The problem will be ground transport in India. Another issue is the Amazon.co.uk does not ship such items to India.
