Shopping abroad - ICC World

I used Iccworld to get an audio accessory from Amazon USA. (ICC World)

Ordered it on the 21st of June and it was delivered to me by the 29th. No express shipping or anything of that sort. Delighted with the service.

My understanding is that Iccworld, while just a shipping company, is in some ways related to Shopyourworld. They have my hearty recommendations.

I bought a BD-ROM Drive from ebay Global Easy Buy on 18th May. They dispatched it same day by ICC World. They sent me the tracking number. But I never received the product.

eBay refunded my money after a month.

Am sorry to hear about your experience, mgdelhi. But this was exactly what drove me to try them out. The Paisapay factor and the eBay guarantee. Worst case scenario, we can always have the refund. Hope you have better luck next time.

One can use browser or s/w app called Tapatalk which is nothing but a browser rip-off that is highly restricted in scope and customized for easy forum access. Take some free s/w restrict it's features to a narrow set , repackage it and charge people $3.00 for it to make a cool profit

Hi,

The problem lies with globay ebay and the automated tool they use to calculate total cost in the listing. When the software does it wrong, and gives an unrealistic shipping + customs quote, ICCworld will be left with no option other than rejecting the order.

I thought of giving eBay Global easy buy and ICC World one more chance and again ordered BD-ROM Drive to be delivered at my Delhi address.

Bought it on 28th June and it got delivered on 12th July. :clapping:

Oh I did not go ahead for two reasons

1.a I spoke to the seller directly and the $350 model was being offered for $295. However ICC gave me an estimate of the original price.

1.b Extra 1300/- on dollar conversion price on the original non-discounted usd price

2. Decided to buy this for $89 with shipping to Borderlinx address from ebay Grundig Field Radio GS350DL Black | The Eton Webstore

I tried with ICC world.
Well i expected a similar process from other sites for international orders and process. But to my surprise they have listed the item in ebay.in, which they intimated me promptly in a span of 24hrs.

Well there comes now, secure payment (refund if item not received), hassle free, all customs paid. Item delivered right at your doorstep.


They take orders from online USA and UK sites.

The ICC World rep called me to find out whether i received the intimation and when am i going to place the order. Wonderful customer service. (May be iam in the process of buying, that's the reason, they called me before buying!!!)

All the best, mate. I found that the dollar conversion generally worked out to about $60. And that is not too bad I thought.

By the way I was browsing through Borderlinx the other day. How does that work? Only Citibank card holders can use that site or what?!

I have placed an order through ICCwrold. They have given clear break up of Dollar conversion to INR, Freight to India and tax charges etc. Being slightly heavy item, freight is a spoiler and the landed cost works out to Twice the US price.

But the product was available on Tigerdirect way way below its original cost. So still a very good bargain

Just curious - does anyone know where ShopYourWorld.com is based out of? I found the following paragraph in their "Shipping Terms and Conditions" which makes me feel nervous - they seem to be based in Singapore with no base in India?
