Posting my setup here after ages. Most of these components are from 2018-19.
Please excuse our doggo's bed and toys in the photos, it is as much his room as ours!
The main display here is a Vividstorm 100" floor-rising ALR screen paired with an Epson 5050UB pj.
The TV which handles the daily viewing is a Sony 75X90K.
The short story of this space is in the grid below, with the ALR screen neatly covering the entire console, and sitting under a downward-angled center channel. The bottom right is the space when we had just moved in, and on the bottom left is my workstation, and gaming/sim rig.
Components:
HT: Fyne F303 L/R, Fyne F300 center, Elac Debut surrounds and heights. SVS SB-1000, REL S/5 SHO subs. Marantz SR5015 receiver. Apple TV. Displays: Epson 5050UB + 100" ALR. Sony 75X90K.
Workstation: LG C2 42" on a fully articulated mount. Custom cooled PC. PS5 with PSVR. G-Pro steering/pedals. Cambridge Audio Minx, Gallo Acoustics 10" Low Profile Sub, Definitive Tech desktop amp. Hifiman Edition XS, ifi Zen Can Amp. Too much tech in this spot to list down.
IMO, the worth of tech is in how much time you end up using them for before the go obsolete.
Going by that yardstick, the Epson, the SVS, the Fyne, the LG C2 have all been invaluable. Work, play, or entertain, they've done their part sooo well over the years. Early into my audiophile/hometheater journey, I realized my listening skills aren't the best...so I wasn't tempted to upgrade from the F300s, or add more complications to the source material. I use Infuse on the Apple TV a lot to view high bitrate content. There is a UHD BD collection in the image, but I've ended up selling off my Sony UHD BD player. Those are now just collectibles lol.
Thank you everyone here who've helped keep this hobby alive though!
