Showcase your Portable Music Rig

Just today... My beloved 9 year old iRiver iHP-120 DAP has been resurrected from its grave, courtesy of a Rockbox firmware (3.11) upgrade and I'm thrilled to bits. :ohyeah:

I'm using the iRiver with the equally awesome Electric Avenues Pocket Amp (PA2V2) (thanks to Gary Ali!) and the Granddaddy of headphones, the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro

iPod, say hullo to my l'il brother!! :-D

Hey guys, I have been wondering since long after getting EarSonicsSM64 that whether should I go for dedicated DAP or not as I was/am using SM64 V2 with Nationite Nanite N2 on bed and PC>Centrance DACPort LX on PC while working. EarSonics SM64 V2 really shines with the DACPort LX as compared to the Nationite Nanite N2 So thought of taking a plunge and bought it.

Let see what this is all about..............

I don't like the in insert headset, it makes my ears uncomfortable.

Ok, I am a freshman, so please ignore what I say.

Hope this fits the bill for this thread.

A portable CD/VCD Player. Panasonic SL-VM65. This comes with a wired remote as seen in the image. It can display song names, tracks time, etc.

I just signed up to this forum and finished putting together my new portable HD audio player using a HP Stream7 with Windows 8.1 ($100), a AudioQuest DragonFly rev.1 USB DAC ($100) and a pair of Grado Labs Prestige SR80 headphones that were also $100. Loaded the free Media Monkey app from the Microsoft store, as well as, a decktop version of Media Monkey to the "desktop" mode of the tablet. A micro SD card loaded inside the HP is where my music lives and the whole rig sounds awesome, even with lowly mp3 files! Certainly I could have purchased a Pono player ($400) or the high end audio Astell&Kern player for up to $2500, neither of which include the headphones, so I did save quite a bit of $$ and had fun putting together and configuring the system!

Nice earphones you have there!
Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I wonder how the Nationite player sounds. In fact I wanted to buy one when my Sansa Clip+ died, but due to unavailability of first hand review I passed the idea.

I love the earphones too!

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
