I have an older version. I use audio out of the optical output running windows 7. Excellent product. This is a better version than mine( two year later). You could use the SPDIF if you have a DAC. That would be a great system....

EDIT: Mine came with a hard disk inbuilt - 80GB. This one appears to be without a disk. So the cost has to be added.

i think you should hold out . Intel's NUC platform is coming in October at around 400 USD. at that price and the 4x4 form factor it will outperform everything else in the market today. find more details in the following URL

I am new to this, but what could be the process to do a digital out from this motherboard, unfortunately I have an old model Onkyo AVR TX SR 508 which does not have HDMI input

Or you think the analog signal from this type of card will be good ?

Onkyo 508 doesn't have hdmi?

You can get digital output from the spdif header on the motherboard. A simple diy spdif header can be assembled for around Rs. 50/-. Another option is to get a motherboard that has optical out.

After thinking a lot, I went ahead an placed an order for squeezebox touch. I think it will be a better buy because ease of use and the fact that I am not looking for video output. I have hearch that logitech is moving away from the squeezebox server, but I think the device still has some juice on it.

Now waiting for it to arrive. Thank you all for your suggestions.

I bought SBT from amazon.com landed price 16.5 K. Wife is angry about it but I think it will be a good buy in the end. specially with the touch screen she can operate on. A computer would have required another android phone or tv to navigate.

that small stick pc is 2k in dinodirect..difference in power is like Alto And XUV.

2k is a good deal, if only for the hdmi output. Have not ordered from dinodirect before. Is it good & safe ?
