Soliciting suggesrion on Bose CineMate 1 SR Soundbar

Let me start by saying that I am a novice in acoustics

I recently moved to a rented house and do not have much flexibility to install a complete HT system (say 5.1) and hence was looking for a soundbar option..
(I have a living room that is about 15'x12')

I came across Bose CineMate 1 SR Soundbar (https://www.boseindia.com/product/cinemate-1-sr-home-theatre-speaker-system/) and did go to a Bose store for a demo (and truth be told was "impressed" by the product!)..
However it is priced at 1.31L INR and not sure if it is value for money...
And Bose does not seem to attract to many positive reviews as well:sad:

Is it worth going for it - please suggest if there are any other alternatives..

Welcome to the the Forum...

Let us know what your max budget & FM can pitch in with their suggestions...

1.3L for a sound bar is too much in India.... They are more than a Dozen combos that can surpass the Bose for same money...

Please let us know what are the limitations that you have for 5.1 setup..

If you have decided to go for soundbar you should try

1. Polk Audio SurroundBar 5000 IHT
2. Polk Audio SurroundBar 6000 IHT

They are quite good, and costs around 40K and 50K respectively (before bargain).

They are available for audition at ProFX MG Road... Try them before you settle for Bose.
