Sourced these cables from Amazon USA, when I have been in Las Vegas trip this year.

After the trying 14 AWG solid copper wire, I got more curious to know the sound of thicker solid cable which can have more circumference and gauge.

Couldn't find any thing thicker than 10AWG solid copper in Amazon portal, I want to give it a try.

All the best :)

And if your goodselves dont like the sound of it, its not money wasted. They should be stiff enough to make clothes hangers out of them 🤣🤣

Sure, will keep posted.

I think I don't need terminals in this cable. Can directly insert in to the binding post.. lol 😁
Actually no terminal sounds better than the best terminal in the world. But we have to use some kind of terminal plug to prevent oxidtion on the cables themselves, and preserve the lay geometry. Some folks use shrink wrap to seal the opening, and then trim the ends with a blade every 6 months to remove any oxidation, and give a scrub with deoxit. I think that should work a charm.

though stranded and not solid core, I have been using 10AWG duelund (tinned copper so best works with no termination) with excellent results over 12, 16 duelunds

Can be silver tinned like this, its a hookup wire made for kickbass in my car door.IMG_20241104_112313.jpg

Won't skin effect reduce the high frequency content (due to higher resistance offered)? Perhaps that's what you are looking for.
But that will no longer remain high-fidelity

Which one offers better connectivity solid or stranded?
high-fidelity
What about emotions?

I currently use Varistrands, but this 14 AWG one sounds better in all aspects on a desktop setup when compared to varistrand 8 pairs which is 9 AWG.

Imo, for such short wire lengths, audio frequency and lower speaker impedance not much will be effected because of skin effect.

Skin effect comes to play at MHz frequencies, long wire length and higher source impedance.

When it comes for wires and cables, I have a mental block that got embedded long ago when I read about stray current on Acoustic Revive's website and since then I remain stuck to solid cores be it power cables, interconnects or speaker cables.

I also did lot of experiments with copper and silver and ended up liking the clarity that silver provides. Geometry and laying of wires in the cables do matter but I cannot digest having cables costing more than electronics in my system. Also, with so many brands around, things get confusing and ultimately ending with frustration. So, my golden rules ...lol :)

1. Get silver if one can afford
2. Get from a good brand - I get it of Neotech*
3. Single strand (solid core)

If not anything, I have the peace of mind that I have the basics and am not altering anything (I think multi-strand, different geometries and insulation do alter the original signal)

*But my speaker cables are 14awg from Tempo Electric because I could not find this thick of a silver wire from Neotech and also, if there was any from Neotech, it would be very expensive and probably be more expensive than one of my electronics which again, I cannot digest.

As for 10 awg for speakers, I tried it too with copper, felt exciting for a few days and I thought that it made music powerful but dull and started going down on AWG finally settling for 14 awg.

What about silver plated solid copper ?

Thanks for sharing that Bornfi :)

I've been sitting on the fence with Neotech single core OCC silver cable for the internal wiring of the speakers, as it was costing close to USD 2K per speaker. Plus another 1K for the Viborg binding posts per cabinet, as WBT was getting too expensive. And I wasnt sure if spending as much as the drivers on cables and binding posts was worth it or not. Will check out Tempo electric now. Thanks :)
