Diamond 9.1 & Cambridge S30 have been around for quite some time & they have proved their worthiness.

Sonodyne 1501 is a new kid. They are Sonus 2605 minus the 2 woofers with the same crossover. So i believe the Midrange of Sonus 1501 should be as good as Sonus 2605.

If you have a warm amplifier, then Sonodyne 1501 would be a good choice.

If you have a bright amplifier, then Diamond 9.1 makes sense.

I haven't auditioned/listened to S30. So cannot comment. I guess it should be more like diamonds.

I compared it with some sterio amps and old avr like pioneer and onkyo (they have no dts hd and dolby true hd).
1612 lack the soundstage in small room.

Speaker placement also will dictate the sound quality/sound stage. Have you placed the speakers close to the side walls ?

no I placed one in a shelf and other on a stand.I am not getting enough soundstage and imaging.length between both speakers is around 2meters.

I connected it to my pc via hdmi.I played mp3 and flac flac but dont getting sound stage and image accurately.

Hmm strange... May be you might have to fiddle with the HDMI settings of your PC.

Alternatively, if you have a DVD /CD player, try connecting it digitally to your receiver & check how it performs. If you get a satisfying soundstage, then it has to your PC settings that is affecting your sound stage.

I haven't connected PC with HDMI to amplifier. So wait for other members to comment on this issue.

I have some doubt regarding the c2401 center speaker.
when I play movies some low frequency is located on center and front.but the center is not capable to produce it.then I changed the direct mode to denon music and movie surround mode.then its gone.but the bass has gone high from the subwoofer.
MY question is will it affect the true effect of multichannel sound when we use surround modes in the avr.

haven't heard the sonodynes so cant comment on them. but ive heard the s30s and 9.1s paired with a bunch of amps like the topping, yamaha as500, a DIY class A amp and a bunch of vintage amps...

Wharf 9.1s
* bigger sound stage than the s30s
* more bass than the s30s

CA s30
* better mids than the 9.1s. voices sound fuller on these..
* warmer speakers with slightly rolled off trebles when compared to the 9.1s

if you have a big room then i would suggest the 9.1s, but for a smaller room i would say go for the s30s. also in terms of presentation the 9.1s are more upfront compared to the s30s which i would say are quite laid back.

so yea depends on your tastes and what you're looking for in a speaker. audition them and find out for yourself :)

thanks for a wonderful explanation.no one experienced sonodyne 1501 and compared it with 9.1
people are scared about INDIAN speakers.but I found the 1501 is extra ordinary for the price.

I like the sonodyne Sonus range. My pick from their stable any day would be Sonus 2605 (FS), Sonus R-ears (Surrounds) & SLF 200A Subwoofer (with remote) & now Sonus 1501. They are unbeatable for the modest price.:clapping:

^^what about slf210.you posted in another thread about it.
sonodyne roarr 210 now comes with class d amp and improved driver.I heard the old one and I own the upgraded 210n.improvement is mind blowing.

My brother owns this SLF 200Ai /SLF 210. I don't remember exactly, but their performance has been really good.

I haven't heard the upgraded Roarr 210 (Class D Amp). My friend has older Roarr 210, bough it after my recommendation. he is happy with it. Even i like it too.

I own a Yammy V 667with C2401. The bass is brilliant during movies.I didn't find a center speaker that could beat this during my audition.
Check your settings in your Denon. With a YAMMY, I would have definitely helped you out.

^^may be my 1612 is under powered for c2401.in the manual it says 90watts continous power but on the speaker its 90watts power handling.what is nominal output of c2401
