Sony 2021 models

sony A9G FOR 2.41 LAKH 65 INCH SUPER OFFER
This offer has been there since a month, tbh still very high priced for a 2019 Tv.

Was considering it but i am now waiting for the 65A80J.

Approx 56% markup, still can't get my head around this blasphemy on the x90j 55".. Usd price 96k approx INR price 1.5l.. Sony guys are importing these sets as is it seems

Wait, I thought 1.5 lakhs was the price of the 65" and I was like this is usual Sony overpricing TVs in India and nothing new. But this is for the 55". This is truly meme pricing :D.

Also, even in the US the price of $1300 for X90J 55" is pretty bad (there's CX, Hisense U8G 65" and X90H 65").

Yes indeed, they are challenging the market completely, maybe more aroused by the fact that no premium brand is competing with them in LED space esp. the one with all formats like DV supported. Hisense/Toshiba have gone the VU way and Samsung got no DV/Android. LG continues to excel in the OLED's so that's still premium territory while their IPS tv's are meh.
This is shit pricing and I hope people pick up OLED's than this. Plus if this is their premium LED pricing, they will expect both kidneys and a piece of liver for OLED's. Down with SONY in India.

Well, we were able to buy the 65" X9500G for 1.5 lakhs a few months ago. Compared to that, this TV is significantly worse in PQ and a lot more expensive. Even at 1 lakh this TV is hard to justify unless you are a hardcore Sony fanboy, at 1.5 lakhs it's basically a joke.

Samsung QN90A is available for a similar price (and equal if you consider the free tablet) and that will destroy this TV in every way possible. Tizen isn't that much worse than Android TV and DV doesn't matter if the TV can hit 2000 nits as you won't need tone-mapping anyway.

I think MRP is 1.5.The street price should be around 1lac.also we are still in May.hopefully by diwali this tv will be around 75k,which I think is a fair price for this tv.

It is not significantly worse in PQ than X950G.I mean sure it loses out on brightness 800 nits vs 1150 nits compare to x950G.But rest of the parameters are comparable.

It has better 6000+ contrast ratio,Flagship XR processor,4K 120 and pretty accurate out of the box picture. This tv will be a good deal around 75k,competing with Samsung frame TV. Hopefully, prices will come down.Even X950G was expensive till last june.

I don't think it will be getting to 75k with all due respect. Try getting even the year old x900h at 75k today sir. I will pay up and take it. Pre lockdown best store offer was at 94k and studs like croma/online still sell at 1l+. Street price is 133k minus a few discounts at best at 1.25-1.3l. By Diwali best offers will be at 1.1-1.2l at this rate.

Man, you sure are hopeful. Even the X9000H didn't drop so much in price, and that one launched at 1 lakh. I doubt this one is going below 1.1-1.2 lakhs. At 75k, it would be a good TV but it's never getting there.

In rtings comparison, it's 1232 v/s 786 nits. That is a very significant difference.

The contrast is better because it doesn't have a wide-angle filter. X950G price reduced only in 2020 because it was a 2019 TV.

I think Sony is just finding a reason to exit the Indian market. They'll say 'look, our sales numbers are falling. Indians don't appreciate Sony' and exit just like they did with smartphones. Their volumes are already low. Nothing else would explain this meme pricing.

You can only wish to get it for 75k :D Not happening just wishful thinking..

well i was not aware about strret price.I thought its around 1 lac.if its 1.33 then yeah its not going below 1 lac.

Actually I wanted to say that if the tv is around 75k then its a good buy.I guess I forgot to add "IF" in my last post.I did not follow the X900H pricing because I did not find the tv attractive.

I know its a 2019 model.Well I was saying the same thing that prices come down eventually.Even X950H 75 has MRP of 5.5L and its fallen by 50%.

I know eventually it will come down, but not by 50%. X950H was grossly overpriced earlier and even now I'd say it's not a good deal.

Also if eventually means next year like X950G or X950H, then I don't even care. Nobody will wait for 2022 to buy these. By then maybe Hisense will enter India for real.

X9500H has an MRP of 5.49L and the Sony approved retail shop price was a staggering 4.3 for some time which came down to 3.79 lakhs and then eventually to 2.78 lakhs. I think it's because it became a failure model because of the lack of HDMI 2.1. Plus they have a wide angle filter which makes the contrast ratio to come down. A Samsung connoisseur in this forum claims it is a flop flagship model that's why such price slumps. And for 2.78 also it is not worth it! But comeon! it is a 9000+ series in Sony nevertheless.

Still overpriced. We must run a campaign to boycott Sony India for those horrendously priced TV sets. Things were better when they sold CRT sets, mildly overpriced than competitors. This is as if we are paying for an LCD Led tv in 2000's. Utter bullshit. Even the attitude of dealers and Sony Centre proprietors is horrendous, RD, Croma you name them and deal with their attitude for an overpriced set with 1yr warranty. And when it conks off, your behind is screwed. Unless you are a person having easy money it shall pinch for sure.

People are saying here that sony X950H is overpriced.which is true compare to USA where its 2000 USD + taxes.which is around 1.5-1.6L.But do we have any other option under 3lac for 75 inch. Isn't this the cheapest among 75 inch in India? Am i missing something?

Also No need run a campaign to boycott sony just get LG OLED C1/G1 its much cheaper than sony OLEDs with similar PQ and for LED get Q90A which is slightly expensive at 1.37L.But its a much much better tv than X90J.

What about Mi q1 75 inch @ 119000?

Mi 75 (xiomi) came last month only in market. Before that there was a dearth for good 75" TV's for or under 2 lakhs. I don't believe I spent 2.11 lakhs for the 8000H last Nivember that too during Diwali. Exactly 12 days later it came down to 1.89 lakhs. Now 75" 8000H at 1.79 lakhs looks overpriced at shopatsc.

No need to boycott Sony products. It will bring its own downfall by not improvising to the demands of the customers. Sales is to sell but marketing is to satisfy the demands of the customers which Sony is falling behind. The current problems by Sony that are not limited to the following

1) overpricing
2) lack of technological advancements (like brightness increase or hdmi 2.1 implementation)
3) does not have a jaw dropping flagship product that would be the talk of town
4) Product QC defects.
5) Not giving enough room for showrooms to negotiate prices
Many more issues. But the Sony Walkman portable casette player I bought in mid 90s is still working if I only i find audio cassettes to fuel it. So somewhere in the past they had a legacy which they are losing.

u mean the Samsung QN90A for 1.37L for the 55" where you got this quote from?

Thanks.

The problem is that OLED's look amazing on display in showrooms due to their thinness and the amazing colours. At that price i'd rather get an LG CX than the X9500H.
The only time i've ever bought a Sony TV was in 2019 when the X9000F was on clearance sale. Got the 65" one for 1.35L including extended warranty and 50% off on a soundbar.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
