Sony 40W900A or Samsung 40F7500BR?

Hi All,

Not sure if this was already discussed... I am looking to buy a 40" LED 3D TV and shortlisted the following:

Sony 40W900A
Samsung 40F7500BR

Could you please suggest which one I should for? I would like to go for the one with better Picture and Sound quality...

I have visited a few Dealers and most of them are suggesting Samsung... am still confused ...

Sony without doubt for reliability and picture quality. Samsung is good if you want ton's of fancy features which typically lacks in Sony.

At least in Singapore where I am residing, most of my friends who purchased Samsung find that after the three years of standard warranty Samsung invariability starts failing mainly - power source or screen going purple.

Sony has been more reliable in terms of durability and starts giving problems after five years if at all.

The above is just based on general opinion from my friends. Good luck on your decision it is always a tough one.

Sony with out any doubt as I agree with most of the comments made here.... Sony better in pq and reliable

Hi All, Thank you for your inputs... went ahead purchased Sony 40W900A from Reliance Digital and got it delivered today...

I am glad that hifivision also provided the details to check the usage hours ... my tv is showing the below numbers... :sad:

00444-00069-00448

444 Hrs!!! Called Reliance Digital and asked them for a replacement or refund... They asked how I knew that the TV is not new... but they didn't argue much and agreed to replace it with a 'brand new' TV within 48 hrs. Hope they will send a replacement as promised...

Hahahahaha yes most of the dealers themselves don't know how to check the usage hours. Hence the surprise.
