Hi Guys,

Am back and am going to pick up my TV set this saturday.
I need minimum 46" with 4 HDMI Ports.
I have a budget constraint and it is now limited to INR 1 Lac. Can't go over it :(
In this range, i think only these 2 sets can compete.
I doubt there is a LG or Panasonic model that can match these sets.

Main purpose is going to be, connecting my laptop to the TV and watching HD/SD rips and playing PS3 Games.

So what do you guys recommend?

Thanks !!!

In case your requirement is only to watch movies and games and you have another basic TV say a 32" one then better go for a Projector lot of good models available for less than 1 lakh.

I have bought a 47'' LGLM7600 TV last year exclusively for watching movies and 3D content without much knowledge about the Projectors:mad:.

Now I am looking for a good projector to replace the above TV, so please take a demo of some projectors before you take a final decision.

Well the set is for my bedroom and am looking only for an LED.
Will go for a projector when i create my own home theatre room ;)

If you can increase budget upto 1.25 lacs and get 46w950 it is an amazing tv with opticontrast panel and triluminous display. It is sony's flagship model this year.Otherwise stick with Sony47w800 nice tv for ur budget.I'm having 40w900 which has amazing pq same as w950( only diff opticontrast panel).

Well, initially i was planning on going for the 46"W950A.
But now i have some budget constraint due to which i can stretch it to max 1 Lac.

Hence in that, these 2 sets fit the bill.
So was trying to get a view as to which is better.

Based soley on reviews that i have read on the net, the F6800 is receiving lot of praises whereas the W800 has been average.

If u are into gaming bigtime w800a makes a better buy as it has lowest input lag among all led tvs this year

Things that i like in the w800 over the 6800 are passive 3D and low input game lag.

However pq matters the most to me. Having read through some reviews, the input lag is low on the 6800 and is also a great set for playing games.
I wont be using 3D much, so it wont make a big difference for me.

Still am confused between the 2 sets ;)

Congratulations... So what turned your mind to sony, when u were bent towards samsung? Just curious... Great pick by the way...

Well yeah. The things that won me over were the looks of the set, good pq, passive 3D and the gaming input lag. Since i plan on playing a "sony" ps3 and ps4 ;)what better than sony :yahoo:

Eventually there is the latest review of w800 on whathifi.com.
It reiterates my earlier observations of the set. Diabolical details.
A slight compromise can be made for any led with regards to deep blacks.
In such a case w800a is the best of the current lot. It seems that its passive 3d is far superior to lg.

Good to hear that :clapping:

Know any place where i can get detailed calibration settings for w800a both when watching in a brightly lit room and in a low light room?

I like that pop to my video ;)

Hey Guys,

Am extremely happy with my W800a.
The PQ and motion flow, everything is great.
I just want to know one thing.

I noticed that my picture settings change when i select 3D. Is this normal?
Do i again have to set the 2D settings for the 3D?

Thanks.
