Sony BDP latest Firmware Issue

Hi,
I have heard that Sony has incorporated DRM related fixes such as Cinevina in their latest firmware on all new BDP players, which detects and prevents illegally copied content from playing. Is this true ?

Is so , this may be a crucial factor to be decided before buying.
