Sony BDP S370 - Wouldn't recognize all USB drives

I have Sony BDP S370 to which I want to connect USB drives. I have WD 400GB passport hard drive. When I connect this drive, BD player is not able to recognize and shows as 'Unknown device'.

But when I connect another USB drive (Kingston DataTraveler 8GB) it recognizes well and plays without any issue.

Any thoughts to why it doesn't work with my WD drive?

hi. subbu i do have the same bdp
i too got showing unknown device at the frnt & bk of plyr
is ur hdd fat32 . or ntfs
i think u can get the problm solvd by just browsing in some older posts.
