Sony BDV-E490 or DAV-DZ640

hi friends,
i want to gift a blu ray htb, but when i heard Sony BDV-E490 5.1 it was terrible, it just not sounded like sony , less bass , and there was not the punch, and at the same time i listened to DAV-DZ640 5.1, and it was clean sound with lots of bass, but its not blue ray,
i have a question can i purchase Sony DAV-DZ640 5.1 and pair with sony Blue ray player and get same DTS HD AND DOBLY HD and other surround features found in BDV-E490 5.1, without quality loss, because both have HDMI , and i am confused about the inputs in Sony DAV-DZ640 .

and any system near 25k which has lots of bass.

I dont think DAV-DZ640 will be able to decode HD Audio from external source. I would advice you to for get about Sony.
Get a Onkyo Hts 3400 and a sony bluray player. It will give you better sound than Sony and also let you to connect Laptop or set top box via Hdmi and let you take full advantage of surround sound.
Onkyo will be around 24 thousand.
