Sony cx52 40" panel replacement

Sony cx52 40 just 2 years old, panel died with color banding issue. Service center guys visited and confirmed panel issue and gave a price quote of 23k with 1 yr warranty for panel. Now is there any other alternative solution where panel be repaired/replaced without much shelling out?. The picture quality should be good as before.

Please help guys.

OMG 2 yrs & panel gave up.... I have the same model but 46 incher & i just completed 1 yrs & 2 months.... I had bought 2 yrs extended warranty....

Spending 23K on a panel with 1 yr warranty doesn't seem good....(Just My opinion)

Yes i do know that spending 23k for panel with 1 yr warranty is not a good idea and thats why you can see my post in this forum.

IMO Sony charges this huge amount for panel replacement so that the buyer is careful when buying the TV and opts for the extended warranty.

And btw this is my second SONY after 2 years getting the same issue. One difference is last time they took the LCD for 8k but this time they refuse to buy it. Dont know why...

i paid around 7.5K for 2 yrs extended warranty....

This time they dint take your TV because you had bought it from Grey market...

If you shop around, I am sure you can get a 42 incher for Rs 30000-35000.

Take a careful call.
