I would say both are decent peformers. They are almost identical in performance. While I heard that ES6800 had some mild light bleeding, I guess ES6900 would be better in that regard. How about you going for a demo for both the models ? Which ever looks good in your eyes, go for that. You can carry sample SD and HD videos in your USB and try running on both to compare and judge the PQ in your own eyes.

just a closer for this thread.. the sony HX 750 sound is AMAZING. beats the socks off a samsung ! so its a no brainer sony it is ! also, its in gaffar for about 1.10 K.. so peopless.. get buying !

I would base my decision solely on picture quality. Audio quality, however good in a flat panel, can never hope to be awesome. Not saying HX750 is bad in PQ (in fact, it is very good) but let PQ be the overriding factor in a buy decision.

I own a 46" hx750 and I personally feel that it is a lot better than the samsung model. And I did not notice any color bleeding. And yes the sound is better, but still it feels better with a surround sound system or a sound bar.

I have a 55" HX720 and its one of the worst television that i laid my eyes on, the pic quality is strictly below average, it has back light bleeding and the motion handling algorithm is painful to watch, the build and quality of plastic used feels quite cheap as well. I have not seen the HX750 personally though i guess it is the replacement model for HX720.

I agree with kix.. PQ should be the main criteria..

Longshanks.. I don't know much about HX720, so can't give any comparative statement vis-a-vis HX750, but HX750 is quite a decent performer.. for a 55inch the price is also very reasonable..
I think Samy should not be bad either.. As I have not demoed the Samy myself.. so can't say for sure. Two other models which has decent performances in the 55inch 3D LED category.. are LG6700 and Pana 55ET5D.. (I have demoed both)
