Hi Everyone!!! Wanted a HTiB but with some flexibility to upgrade in the future.

Was stuck between the two. Which would be better off?? Is there any option other the two mentioned which would be better off.

Such systems have little to no flexibility. You might as well buy separate components & upgrade step by step.
BTW you intend to buy such a system for movies only or movies & music???

+1. If you are looking for future upgrades then go for a discrete setup of AVR+speakers+subwoofer rather than wasting your money on HTiBs.

Mention your budget also.

AVR: Looked around stuck between Denon AVR 1713 and 2113 CI

Speakers: Jamo or Okyo actually not clear on this part, I would like a powerful Sub.

EDIT: Should I go for 2313CI instead.

Well a budget of approx 50k will not get you much esp if your including purchase of the AVR which will eat up 50% or more of the budget.

Are you buying everything in UAE or only AVR?

As for speaker choices, again would advise to stay away from your selection & look to up the budget atleast to enable you to get the Fronts & Centre 1st followed by sub & surrounds.

Are you in Dubai at the moment? If so, finalise the AVR & then listen to as many speaker packages available there with this AVR & decide which spkr package works best for you in the budget comfortable to you. Do watch movie scenes you know well & listen to music of your choice to come to conclusion & make decision.

BTW, have you planned to bring them back to delhi(your location as per your handle)
or will be using them in dubai only? Asking as you will have to factor in logistics & custom duties & allied costings of shipping if bringing to India/Delhi.

Take your time, don't be in a hurry, else you might regret it later.

Am not aware of what speaker packages are available in dubai at the moment, so do some leg work! Also do remember to select speaker package based on the size of the room where the AVR/Speakers will be set-up.

Well 2313 will be better than the other 2 based on power rating & additional features, so decide on the model based on your usage of all its features & type of speaker package you will pair it with.

In India, you can get Jamo s426 Package @ Rs. 21,800. But I would suggest you to buy the entire set up from Dubai, you will get much better deal than India.

Speakers are secondary. But spend more on the driver I.e avr.
Denon 2313 is getting praises oflate from all review houses. It seems to be also good at music.

Couldn't get 2313. But 2113 and 3313 in stock which one shud i go for.

Actually denon models for the past 3 years did not fare well with their peers like yamaha and onkyo.
This is first time they are back in the business earning 5 star ratings .
So any 2013 model like 3313 should be far better than a 2011 model.

Thnx.. So Denon 3313CI it is, but will Jamo s426 do justice to the Denon or should I go for something else.

Getting Denon 3313CI for AED 3000 and was offered Denon 2113CI for AD 1800.

Thinking for going with a Jamo Subn 260. What do you say?

I think jamo is a good budget speaker package to realize the potential of the 3313.
But the prowess of this beast is best realized by high end speaker packages like a dali 5.
But anyways one can eventually upgrade the speaker package. It is not a big concern.

Jamo S 426 package price got increased in India.. It cost around 27000 INR in reliance.

imho with a 50k avr you shd invest ay least 40k for centre and front..
if budget is concern go step by step
so i wont suggest a 5.1 readymde set up..instead demo and get a good centre and pair of bs..
sub later..and surrond as per budget much more later

hey whitewizard ...why dont u look for setup in GITEX electronics expo dubai ..its just 40 days away..u might get a killer deal...OF COURSE U NEED TO GO WITH AN OPEN MIND..u cant expect the exact same model & brand to be on sale
