Don't spread false info.

The only company i know which worked with Quantum Dot only display is LG.

It can be Exclusively available just for Sony ,if they have signed a exclusivity deal and i see no reason why it can't be.

Now that i see another fan reply saying it can be, it could be and what if and so on, i am just going to say no it cannot not be exclusive.

Its good now we have stepped down making it appear like it was sony's technology, i mean these kind of fan posts is root cause of all kind of half baked and false info in the internet.

corElement
No, i beg to differ, i believe not sharing info is a much better thing to do than sharing wrong information or half baked stuff.

here is what QD Vision site says.

BREAKING NEWS:

QD Vision launches Color IQ, the worlds first high volume Quantum Dot product for LCD Televisions

Sonys BRAVIA LCD Televisions, announced at the Consumer Electronics Show, will be the first to use Color IQ. New technology delivers a far more natural and vivid viewing experience.

When i first saw the OP post i straightway interpreted what he said and he never said its a Sony tech.
Why would you interpret has it being a Sony tech ,when he posted the link which clearly mention QD vision.

I guess die hard people who have said on the record here that they hate Sony will always interpret it wrongly.

Quantum Dot will be a Sony exclusive display tech :yahoo:

My first thanks to avmaxfan for sharing this news and making us aware.

My second thanks to HDTV industry who are giving us more positive info when there was an uncertain and gloomy future for HDTV business. At least these sort of news will only create positive vibes among hi-fi AV fans and experts. Be it Sony in coming out with Quantam dot LCD or be with Panasonic announcing newer Plasma series, etc.. Now many will feel positive about these developments. I would also personally wish these Industry leaders like Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, etc to be more customer friendly in delivering more reliable products apart from the technology.

:signthankspin:

If you had read that link which mentioned that Sony was the first customer for this tech,one can understand what he meant and at the moment it is exclusive for sony,since no other tv manufacturer have this for the 2013.

Mr. Longshanks, I never said Sony developed Quantum Dot. I only said Sony has launched Quantum dot TVs and it will be exclusive to Sony.

Not gonna say anything much, you stop posting and just wait a few months. You will get all your answers

@adder

It's not exclusivity deal bro, check your PM I've sent you details.

@topic

Guys, please don't argue with longshanks. I don't want this thread locked, let him say whatever he wants. My source of info is 100% accurate and you will see that very soon.

The Quantum dot technology enters the forum REDD HOTT.:)
Thanks to the warring factions, we mortals could have a glimpse into the next generation of panels.:clapping:

As a quantum mechanics enthusiast, I am just wondering if confining the picture elements to the quantum scale would have any undesirable/uncontrollable effects. This quantum uncertainty arises out of the famous Heisenberg's principle.:lol:
