Sony TR 1300 Radio

Hello,

I have a Sony TR 1300 radio passed down to me which must have been purchased by my grandfather in 1971 - 72. The radio was working properly till abt a week back until the tuning string gave way. Gave it to a restorer in Hyderabad and he messed with it. Its not working now... He says the fault is with the band selection switch and cannot be restored by him. Also, the external telescopic antenna is broken and the LED signal indicator light has been removed. Not sure where to start... Can you restore the set for me? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks

Get all parts from him, whatever he removed must be put back. Otherwise kick his butts. Its ridiculous to hear somebody destroys vintage stuff.
