Does Sony x700 4k player imported from USA/UK plays all the dvd/Blu-ray and 4k discs in India ???

Uhd disks will play as there is no region coding for uhd disks. Bluray and dvds will be locked to region B. But most blurays available in India is region free, so should be fine here.
I did the same - picked it up from the US - region locked to A for BD. So far, have yet to come across a BD bought in India which is not region free (I watch movies across genres) and didn't play in it. Maybe 1 out of 10000...

I bought one from US black Friday deals. It's working fine with voltage convertor. It play UHD from everywhere as they are region free but for bluray it play only region A. Hope it helps

I had a chance to see side by side xbox One s and a under 20k blu ray player, it's the same. Unless you go above 40k, xbox One s is a safe bet. They fixed all the issues with wrong color and atmos. Plus you can play games if you wish. Only Downside is its loud with drive noise and not sure if its a good audio source with that fan.
