I want to buy a sound bar with woofer for my 46 inch tv,so i have selected some products

1)Polk audio Surround Bar 3000 IHT

2)Sonodyne ExBar 300 b Active Soundbar

3)Boston Acoustics Tvee Model 25

So which one should i choose??I dint seen the demo of the three models.

So any suggestions??

with 25k dont buy a sound bar
get a norge stereo amp at 10k and get a pair of wharfedale 10 bookshelf at 17k..
you will be surprised to see the sound..than a sound bar

or an entry level avr at 22k...and cheaper bookshelves...so later you can meke it 5.1

for 25k you can get the onkyo HT-S3500/3400...............much better than any sound bar. Only go for a sound bar if you don't want the mess of speakers and cable which is really worth it if you want better 5.1 audio, well worth it.

if you already own a 5.1 set up or streo set up..you can buy the soundbar..
if no...soundbar is a nono for you
please buy amp speaker set up to feel the difference..
soundbar is a piece of furniture more..than a audio equipment

You didn't specify your budget...Anyways...

Looks like Polk Audio & Boston Acoustics have wireless subwoofer, have digital inputs & analogue inputs...Made for 30" TV....

Sonodyne Exbar has Analogue inputs only - 2 Inputs...There are two models here.. One for 30"inch (Exbar 300) & 40"inch (Exbar 400) to match with bigger TV's....It has a wired subwoofer...

Sonodyne ExBar 400 b Active Soundbar

If you are simply going to take the Analogue out from TV & feed it to the Soundbar, all three would do good....

Do an audition of all three & then decide....

Else you can look @ something like this... Wharfedale Diamond 10 LCR.... You will need an external receiver to power this unlike the above soundbars...

This is nothing but Left, center & Right speakers integrated into one...

Wharfedale DIAMOND 10.LCR

If i want to go fro individual speakers which one is better??I need floor standing speakers. But the problem is choosing an amplifier i dnt know much about amplifiers,so anyone can give some suggestions?

My budget for front speakers (25k)

Amplifier?? How much it will cost?

Can you plz explain the difference between AVR and an Amplifier i am confused :\

AVR - Audio Video Receiver - it is for 5.1 (or) more channels, Amplifier in general refers to stereo amplifier (2.0)...Do some googling on these key words, you will get plenty of topics to read & understand the difference....

You can search for threads in the forum where it has been discussed many times...

Room size is 16*12 mainly for movies and music.

What about my choice for wharfedale floor standing speakers?Suggest me some good AVR in future i will add a woofer.

What is the starting price of the AVR??Which speakers you recommend other than wharfedale??

Starts @ minimum 20K for a new one.....Sonodyne Sonus 2605 @ more (or) less the same price 27K..

Don't go for towers @ this moment... Stick to BS since you are planning for a subwoofer later....

You can look @ sonodyne Sonus 1501 BS (11K) add a subwoofer (Astonia/Sonodyne 108) for 15K and a center speaker Sonus C2401 for 6K if your budget permits either now (or) later...

This way you start with 2.0 HT setup & then progress to complete 5.1 setup...

yes for tight budget go for soodynes
dont underestimate it..

for entry level avr

denon 1312
onkyo 313
yamaha 373

etc

i suggest go for a second hand maratz avr which is on sale in sale area..at 16k..the hdmi board is not functioning..you wont need that unless plan for a reguler br disk watch..
coax in is fine

Yesterday i checked Magnat and Mordaunt-short speakers they are okay not great. What's your opinion on them??

I dont know much about Sonodyne speakers how do they perform?

Why not tower speakers? I think i will get good sound from tower speakers.I want to add a sub later what u say?

Even though if i go for BS speakers i have to buy a AVR,so why not towers??What will be the Wattage of the AVR??

floorstander is good if music is invloved..for only cinema not really needed..if a solid sub in used

but yes if budget is not a problem..fs is the blind choice..unless very small room

and yes expect to buy a 40k avr at least to drive floorstander
