Well guys I just wanted to check and see how many of the members here are aware of this movie (and for those who don't, want to give the info) so starting this thread. Have been reading a lot bout it all the place (FB,Twitter,Newspapers etc)

Station the film is the latest Bollywood movie but with a difference,Its the first of its kind movie made by a team of Bangaloreans,Yes you read it right all the folks involved in the making of this film are from Bangalore it seems, which includes the actors,director,producer and its even shot in and around Bangalore:clapping:,

Its an Indie film with no major Bollywood Studio backing and no major budget,No item number,No songs ! Its a 1hr 40 Min suspense thriller.

Some of the famous personalities have liked the movie,Including 13 times National Award winner Girish Kasaravalli,Infosys's Mohandas Pai,Sohail Kahn to name few

Well The more I read bout it the more I got hooked,I don't want to sound like their PR guy so will not go on and on bout it,just google for more details

In general like I have already mentioned its a film by Bangaloreans,The Director of the Movie Saad Khan has written and directed the movie,You can read more bout him over here

Bout the movie itself,Its a movie about three assassins who are hired to a job and what happens in the end is the premise of the movie ! Technical aspects include,The Movie is entirely shot in RED MX Digital Camera (the same camera used in the making of "The Social Network","The Inception" etc),Shot mostly in the night without too much artificial lighting,Shot entirely on location (No sets and indoor studio etc),Has gone through 3 edits from 3 different editors (to get the best end result),Has sound mastered in Yash Raj Studio's DTS Mixing Unit,Has Gulshan Grovers narration.

Although movie was ready by 2012 mid,due issues with the distribution it couldn't get a release,Finally PVR's Director's Rare (distribution arm of PVR for Indie Film) chose to release it !

Much Much more ! So its you see its not an average movie by any standard,So I think we as movie watchers ought to give this kinda effort a kudos so more such comes out and they don't have to go through the hardships and end giving up on such innovative movie making.

I for one always crib that commercial hindi movies have a storyline not even for namesake and one scene starts in one location and ends at other

So for a good story and movie being technically good, I surely will not miss it

is it just me or she is on the lines of Adele: rolling in the deep ???

the highs and lows and the sudden burst of energy .. the scream and the sadness and changes in tonality blah blah ...

definitely sounds good but a long way to go...

Can't say much at the moment...how it's gonna be as a final product... But it seems they have taken Kannada or other South actors to act in Hindi...which doesn't look natural to me acting-wise.
IMO movies works better when actors are chosen fit for the role..as much as possible... acting wise...language wise..etc...

Just my 2 cents... No pun intended...

If I may clarify (since I have all the info), No my friend the actors are not Kannada Film actors !! Nor are they south actors (yes they are from Bangalore but in a sense they are not south actors as its their first movie).

Yes some of them are not native Hindi speakers but I do think they have done their best to make it natural,also a point to note here is that its based on a particular city hence the spoken language will have to be that of the city (different cities have different dialect of the same language)

Just wanted to clarify that's all hope you get what Am trying to say.


On a side note,its released today Can't wait to hit the theaters !

I saw the movie today and must say I liked it. Its not for everyone though. The theme of the movie is dark, but that is a genre I do like. The movie keeps you gripped for the length of it. However, I am certain that the majority out there who just cant fathom a movie without stars, songs and dance are not going to like it. But its encouraging to see an independent movie like this. I am just fed up of the rubbish that is served in the name of mainstream Bollywood, and this definitely was a refreshing change.

Yes its not surely for the fans of Song & Dance or the usual Bollywood BS,Esp the first half where things are happening so fast that you need to be glued in to get the grip of the plot !!

Saw it first day first show and quite liked it.

Was very eager to see this movie but it was not released to any cinema hall in my location..So really missed it..now waiting for its DVD to get released.Plz do inform me if you find information of its release on DVD.

Good news guys, I just got the info from the director that the movie is being released in Chennai on Sat at Amba Skywalk PVR !!

For all the Chennai folks its time to head there and book your tickets now !! Other cities Am told will follow as and when they workout a deal with the local PVR.

As with the release of the DVD or other means of transmission (read online,TV,DTH etc),they are not going to do it for now as they are trying to get a nationwide release city by city ! So one has to wait if one wants to watch it !

That's the latest info I got,will update as and when I get any more info.
