Step Down converter

Hi,

My friend has gifted me a new Ht purchased from US. Its as below
POLK AUDIO 6750
YAMAHA 371-
SUB WOOFER 100WATT
RECEIVER 250 watt


Which step down converter should i purchase. i inquired with local shop. they showed me step down converter costing rs.280.(it was like our three pin plug in) and i also with inquired with a online store they quoted 7000/-. Really confused.
From the forum database i came across the maxine brand whether the same is suitable for the above product

you need a 1500 watts step down for amp and sub would be based on the wattage, which you need to checkout

You need a step down transformer with a minimum rating of AVR Power + Woofer Dynamic power.
I guess a 750 W transformer will work

Buy one with adequate rating to handle your gear-erring on the side of safety is better than being under rating. Rs 280 looks too low for me-I bought a good step down for a preamp processor for around 550-600 about 7-8 months ago.
