Hi All,

I've an Onkyo HTS 3300 brought from US. I would like to know is there any issue in using a step down transformer (230 to 110) for this? Also, please suggest a good transformer.

Thanks,
Nithin

Thanks baijuxaviour for the quick reply. I called him up and told me to get the HT specification. He was asking how much watts and ampere required for the step down transformer. Could you please guide me?

Unfortunately I do not have the user manual for my Onkyo as i bought it from one of my friend.

Thanks again,
Nithin

Onkyo 3300 US model is rated at 3.6A, 120V so that is roughly 430W. Just get a 1.5KVA transformer, it will handle the load easily.

Thanks a lot for the info. I'll tell him about the same.

I just noticed that HT version is Onkyo HTS 3300(B), not HTS 3300. Not sure what this (B) stands for. But I really couldnt find any difference between these two.

Thanks,
Nithin Ramesh
