While switching on the player today, i think(not sure) i listened a sparking sound. Then i found out a blue/purple/magenta type colour tint on the tv screen.

I thought my old CRT TV gone kaput. But just now while watching channels i realized it is the BD player that is only showing the blue kinda tint on screen. The colours are looking more saturated and picture slightly dull than before.

What might be the problem!

I have warranty but the blue tint is not visible others except me. Will the service station acknowledge the problem!! :o

Pls at first reset your player to factory setting ,turn it off, unplug then plug in again.
Turn on the player.
If you have more than one composite video input in your tv try in different composite input there and check is the issue persists.

You can also try this to isolate the problem-
most probably either there is an issue with composite output of bluray player..or composite input of the tv..or the cable itself.
Try to plugin any other device with composite video output like camera/dvd player to the same input of tv..check if the issue still persists.
Try using another cable and check if the issue persists.

Please post a screen shot

ok..will try to. but i think, it wont reflect clearly through pic of digicam.

Ok. guys. i am very sorry and redfaced. The problem was with the OLD CRT TV not the BDPlayer.

Today i noticed the problem intensified. And when i brought colour/saturation of tv to 0, the picture is not black & white but black & purple. So something is wrong with the TV. I am saved.

Gonna throw away the TV and buy a plasma :D
