Stylus Cleaning gel

No, but I am not sure how to apply it. But looks good for record cleaning.

I use similar solution "onzow zerodust stylus cleaner" original. Its good so far last >2years.

As a stylus cleaner is very good. sticks out all the muck from the tip. have not tried cleaning records yet.
 
Can you share any pictures or probably a video demonstrating the process for the benefit of all. That always helps.

Cleaning the stylus is a very delicate process. You can easily damage it by applying too much pressure or pressure the wrong way. I've killed 4 cantilevers in the past. I don't know how sticky gels perform. If it 'pulls' the cantilever as you remove it then you could be in great danger.
A video of the process using the gel, as requested ,is going to clear that doubt !The stylus often is over 80% the cost of a cartridge ! If you pick a 'special' stylus it can be several times the cost of the stock cartridge itself !
 
I am completely against any apparatus for stylus cleaning. The best is to blow gently. It is super easy to knock off the tip. If you must get a stylus brush, make sure it is the finest quality and that you use it only when absolutely necessary. Keep your records clean, brush before and after playing and your stylus won't require much attention.
 
It's pretty hard to get a perfectly dust free record as it plays. Muck can still collect on the stylus as does other material. As the record wears ( on every play) small quantities of sticky black muck can be noticed after a few plays. This could include vinyl material and/or plasticiser and possibly muck deposited from the air ! You do need to clean that. Best with Isopropyl alcohol and a small soft brush. A 20X magnifying lens is helpful to check the stylus for debri. Once cleaned well you do not need to remove the stylus from the cartridge body every time you clean it. It's a good habit to clean it after each play with isopropyl alcohol.
The stylus generally looks clean with the naked eye. Often it looks filthy under a magnifying glass ! :)

It is just that the same stuff is being packed in a case and sold. One can do that at home. Put the gel in a similar case.
 
K thanks. You using this particular product for cleaning in a video would have been better. Nevertheless this works.
 
I am using Onzow zerodust and it is pretty good, purchased from eBay.
