Suggest Sony 42 ' W800 or Sony 40 'W900

Hello,

Planning to buy Sony 3D TV Here are the hit list.

Sony 42 ' W800 or Sony 40 'W900.

Please suggest which one is good

W900 without a doubt if price is not a factor.

On paper, the W900 is definitely superior. But "paper" means little in practice. Demo both and check which appeals to you more. Choose that one. I am assuming that budget is not the constraint here.

The question would be __ will you be moved by w800 or totally be blown away by the w900. If you percieve a quantum jump in viewing experience then shell out the extra money for w900.
Here I am only talking about PQ and not the differences like panel type , features etc.
As for me , I was really moved by the w800. I did not audition the w900 yet.

I would say "none of them".
"blown away" depends on what you are watching today. If it a budget LED then W800 will definetly blow you but TV is a investment for 5 yrs atleast.
The W800 has muted colours and W900 has viewing angle issues. Colour washout after 20 degrees.
Wait for W950 or try a demo on Panasonic passive 3D models. Picture is much natural on Panasonic.

w950 AND w900 has same triluminous panel, hence same picture quality. Both are available in Indian market. W900 in 40 inch and W950 in 47 and 55 inch.
Sony W8 and Panasonic LED have IPS panel so better viewing angle but inferior black level. Sony W9 has VA panel so better black level but limited viewing angle. For best picture quality choose Sony W9 (if price is not issue).

Sanjeevji , after going through lot of reviews and forums i decided to buy w900 . I went to sony store in thane city in maharashtra. They said w900 is not available yet. Can you tell me where its available ?

Not sure about Thane. I am from Indore and it is available here in Sony Store.
