We have a very old Synodyne book shelf speakers. Its like Synodyne 3260 model but over 35 years old.
Its still working :)

May I seek your suggestions what amplifiers can I go for. The price really needs to be low, ideally around 5 to 10 K INR, My mother in law wants to use it, she says she does not need a very costly amplifier. Earlier she was using Synodyne amplifier, that had cassette player in built. But its not working any more.

What are suggestions for audio source, ideally something that can be played from phone such as Amazon Music, but I suggested her not to go for Bluetooth connection to a player as that transfers all audio of phone (like a phone call) to speaker. I know there are some work around to filter that even in Bluetooth connection, but my mother in law is senior citizen. So a WIFI streaming option from Amazon Music will be good.

Other option is to get a CD player. She has bunch of CDs so some low priced CD player will help here.

Thanks in advance

You can check the offerings from fosi or aiyima.

Something like This Fossi with bluetooth or a wiim mini should make a nice easy to use system. A basic pre worshiped cd player could be added later on.

Personally, I don't recommend Class D amplification and Bluetooth streaming, since sound quality is not a priority and system is for senior citizen and ease of use is a priority and budget is tight, Fosi Audio BT20A Pro will be a suitable option. Since the chain wont have a mic the phone ideally should not transfer calls to the speakers( but this needs to be checked). For the required scenerio BT streaming will be enough. If the calls are being transferred to the speakers, then a streamer like WIIM MINI can be added but it will increase the overall cost. CD players are dirt cheap now a days those can be added too to the system later.

You can check in the used market for a vintage amplifier which will go well with your vintage speaker. For streaming you can check something like arylic s10 or Wiim. Do checkout the below link.

If your MIL's non-functional Sonodyne is still with her, you may contact Mr. Manna. He seems to be an expert in bringing dead/ terminally-ill Sonodynes to its former glory. I don't personally don't know this gentleman, I watch his videos on youtube. Since you are from Kolkata, you may try.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
