Suggestions needed to build my first 5.1 home theater system.

Hello all,

I am in the process to build a 5.1 home theater system for my 20 by 18 ft hall with about 100 sq ft of long open balcony. I have zeroed down to the Denon 1100w avr and have to decide between Tannoy TFX 5.1 speakers and Elac Starlet 5.1 speakers system. Kindly help me in selecting a suitable set of speakers to build a HT. Any other set of speakers can be recommended and considered for the set up. Also does any members having any experience regards to the Elac speakers. I have a budget of 50 to 60k for the 5.1 setup.

I have similar sized hall with denon x1000(earlier model to1100) paired with tannoy mercury speakers(Floor standers), set up sounds good and you need good subwoofer to complete the set up.

you can go for about 70k and buy Polk Audio. The speakers are very good. ProFX is the distributor in india

Thanks for the suggestion. How about wharfedale 220 ? But budget might be the issue.

I have polk tsx110 pair. It sounds good for movies but not good for music.
I am not sure about wharfedale 220. I did try it yet.
