Suggestions on buying 32 inch LCD

I am planning to buy a 32 inch LCD (preferably Toshiba 32HV10 or Philips 32PFL5306), since both models fall into my tight budget (17K). Can any one suggest if i can go for Philips? I have read some positive feedback about the philips in websites reported by users. But, i have not checked it on my own and could not find its panel colour depth as well (8 or 10 bit?). So, i am little concerned about finalizing it. On the other hand, i have seen Toshiba model yesterday running with set top box and i am quite satisfied with the pic quality which is really justifiable at its price point :licklips:, although its a 8 bit panel model. Also if possible, can any one provide me the best price quote for these models in the market. Any other suggestions are also appreciated.

So your perference is the HD Ready. My Recommendation out of two is Philips. But something better than and far from both is Videocon 32" LCD HDTV VDL32HBL. Amazing Clarity and excellent pixels with hd and as well as Sd dth. Excellent Excellent i can say

Price is around same 17K may be +or- 2k diff

When ur looking for this tv in a retail shop pls see only this and dont here any of the comments from the person in the retail shop it is a good product also check the reviews.

My suggestion will be increase ur budget 2k more and go for the toshiba model:Flipkart: Toshiba 32 Inches LCD 32PB1E: Television. this one having 10 bit panel and its better. In between the two models philips is better but you will get 1 yr warranty against 3 yrs in toshiba and philips sold their all business to chinese company. So about serving it might trouble you.

@Raghuhifi: Thanks for that. But, i am little concerned about brand image as well (i always felt videocon an inferior to others, even to BPL. No offense). I would figure out if any other toshiba models with 10 bit would work out.

@bijaymohanta: But, i heard that Toshiba has outsourced their US sales to a japanese manufacturer Funai. (they also handles Philips LCDS sold in US)

Toshiba is a very good brand, and from few days back they are too aggressive and introducing many new models and expanding their presence. So hope for a better service in future. They always believe in quality.

Toshiba is good outside India not inside. I think they are using inferior panel made in China

This one u r talking abt http://www.timtara.com/products/Toshiba-24"-LED-TV-24PS10ZE.html. Price is 15.5k. Specs good, but screen size is 24. Check atleast 26 or 32, u will be happy later on.
Meanwhile check this old model in ezone online: http://www.futurebazaar.com/panasonic-32c8-32-lcd-tv/pd/46676/< in case of toshiba plz check the warranty, in that site its mentioned 1yr. It should be 3 yrs.
