Surround, Center and Sub - what would you suggest?

Hi,

After joining this wonderful forum, i got my stereo setup done recently with a pair of Wharfedale 9.2 with Norge 1000.

Now my quest is for surround setup.

I have got Yamaha RX440 entry level AVR. I'm planning to use the above wharf 9.2 as Front ones.

what would you suggest for Center, Surround and an active Sub.

I have been given the following - considering my budget.

1. Surround - Polk TSI 100 for a pair (11k in AV Excellence in Pune)
2. Center - CS20 18k, or CS10 - 10k
3. Sub - PSW 110 - 13k

Would they be good match for Wharf/Yamaha RX440?

Or is there any better options from Wharf itself.

Please help!

PS: The moment my wife will know that I'm looking for speakers again -she will definitely put me in the non-spenders club :sad:

Centre shld be with same family,surr can be wharf Dipole(7.5k)
Sub polk is a good entrylevel.

Subwoofer - You may want to try Wharfedale Diamond SW150 or Wharfedale Diamond SW250 . But these subwoofers are bit more than the budget yo u have set for subwoofer. Wharfedale Diamond SW150 is around 18-19K and Wharfedale Diamond SW250 aorund 22-24K. Not sure about exact price you might get after bargain.

Have anyone out here tried & auditioned Q Acoustics 2070s Subwoofer...???

Also it seems WH2 is discontinued from Wharf but still speakers are available with the dealers in pune. Any idea, it's worth buying this one?

Yes, especially with Wharf spk,yes. Rev are good too.
