Setup - Minix Neo U1 with ext hdd 1 TB on USB port. Samsung Note 3. Both devices connected on home wifi network and visible to each other. I am able to play songs on my mobile using UpnP streaming directly to Minix. So no connectivity issues here.

Now the Question - I often download and update my songs on my mobile. I want them to be automatically synchronised with a folder on my ext hdd through Minix. Please note - AUTOMATICALLY when I switch on Minix. I have been able to manually do so by setting up an FTP server on Minix and use ES Explorer to transfer to Minix. But this requires my intervention. I want this to take place automatically the moment my phone / Minix detects minix / phone.
Please do not suggest me options like Dropbox or other cloud stuff. I dont want to connect through Internet.
How to go about it?
Thanks.

Going through your requirement, you need a sync app between Android and PC (or any HDD on the same network, minix in your case). I worked on an application long back for achieving the same purpose, sync photos that I take from my android to my Synology NAS, the application was Sync ME, you can try that, I, however shifted to a more specific app for my requirement that only is applicable for photos called Sweet Home ..... You can try sync me it was really good AFAIR.

Gone through the details of SyncMe. Does it sync between pc and android only? In my case both devices (mobile and minix) are android. I guess I will have to install on both for that?

It can sync between android and any PC/HDD on same network,(AFAIR) and it only needs to be installed on Phone Android. The app should detect your minix connected to your network and show the HDD connected to it, you then can sync between that and your Android internal storage.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
