The guy is just fooling everyone. The picture is googled from another site and he has not given any contact name nor number. I do not understand how Quickr and other such sites allow ads to be put without name and contact number. This investigation has been carried out by one of our FMs. I do not want to disclose his identity without his permission. He was kind enough to inform me about this ad. I think the bogus seller just wants to know the highest price he may get for some run down stuff he may have or he may not have one right now.

Well said, I agree that this may be a test marketing attempt.

I'm in agreement with the above comments as well. In my opinion a person with the said equipment with an SME will definitely add more details, specifics and photos. If not the price, he would have quoted, contact for price.

This same AD is posted on Olx as well and the sellers name is quoted there!

Could be a new tyro dealer who may have access in buying one and is now trying to estimate its price.

I once called up a number in Delhi and it turned out to be of a well known (notorious is perhaps the correct word) dealer / self proclaimed collector of "dusty" :lol: TT's. He claimed that the advt. was placed / recycled by the web site team themselves and he had actually posted it six months ago.

I put following words in google
A massive, rare turntable and a great arm. The plinth is solid granite 2" thick. The bearing is huge. The platter is Lexan and is 1 3/4" thick. It has an outboard power supply for 33 1/3 and 45 rpm. Both speeds are adjustable. It is listed as a 7 as opposed to an 9 due to the power cord to the power supply condition.

Since i live a couple of kms from Delhi university thought would check it out. Responded to the ad, was contacted by a guy who wanted to sell a CD player, also received a call from the quickr call center asking if i was interested in used home theater systems :lol:
