Hi
I am thinking of buying a Rega RP 6 Turntable and connect it to the following;
1 Quad Stereo Pre-Amplifier
2 Quad Elite mono amplifier
1 Quad Elite CDS CD player
and One Pair of Wharrfdale Speakers Jade 3. Since I have space constraints, I am looking for Book-shelf speakers

Is this a good idea? Or am I missing something here.

Please help me with your valuable suggestions as I am planning this as my dream set-up
Many thanks

Where are you planning to buy it from? The rega rp6 is no longer available in india.

Also for that money you can do far better than wharfedale.

Dear Sir
Thanks a lot for the suggestions. I checked for ATC SCM 11 which costs 137,000 which is substantially higher than Jade 3. But the dealer in Chennai told me that sound will be much better. Thanks once again and wish you a happy new year
Regards
Ramesh

Ramesh, there is nothing like better or worst sound. It depends on what speaker sound pleases your ears.

Yes! Whatever you buy, please do audition in advance. The RP6 is a very good turntable. It should pair pretty well with the rest of those components. Does the quad preamplifier have an inbuilt phono amp?

Wharfedale Linton Heritage Speakers in Red Mahogany finish at a Special Offer Price. BUY now before the price increase.
