Hi,

I am planning to buy a LCD/LED TV and a home theater. Can anyone suggest the best one?

I went to a Sony world shop and checked out a few models. All in the 32" range.

Cant really figure out which one to use. My family has been a Sony fan for years. So cant really think outside of Sony unless the product is incomparable.

I need the whole set up to be under 55K.... So please suggest what I should be looking into.

Also, is having a stabilizer good for this set up?

I am really a movie buff... Love watching movies a lot...

Thanks

55 will be a tight budget for both lcd/led and HT.

sony tends to be expensive and a brand name.. also sony does not mean best quality. stills depends on you..

however for entry level HT you can look forward for philips HT systems for say around 15-17k and it includes the dvd player as well..

and rest 30-35k you can look for a samsung lcd 32in....

my suggestion..

samsung c590 for 32k and it does support HD formats through USB as well so will be a feasable option at that price point..

32k (samsung c590-32in tv) + 24k (onkyo 3300) + 3k(hdmi dvd player) =59 k (4k above your budget) but a good combo..

c590 is 800w pmpo.. so no need for you to turn on HT every time.. it can give good sound for TV viewing..

The samsung C530/C590 are good choices. But if you do want a Sony the comparable model is the EX400 its has a SPVA panel guaranteed.Or wait for the CX520 to be launched with the improved image processing and more features.

Samsung will also launch their 2011 models shortly.

+1 to this, complete VFM.

Instead of HDMi DVD player you can buy HD player to playback from HDD.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
