Uno Minda Ltd. has announced the launch of India’s first GPT-enabled Android music system in the automotive aftermarket. The product, known as the WTUNES-464DN-GPT, is designed to integrate generative AI capabilities into in-car infotainment. It incorporates voice command functionality, allowing users to access information and perform tasks through spoken instructions.
The system includes an integrated AI assistant intended to provide quick retrieval of information for both personal and professional use. It is equipped with an octa-core processor, a QLED display (2000 x 1200p), and digital signal processing (DSP) technology aimed at enhancing sound quality. The device supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connections, both wireless and wired, to handle navigation, communication, and entertainment through voice-based interaction.
Additional features include a 360° camera controller for vehicle safety, a 208W (4x52W) audio output, and a dynamic equalizer. The package comes with an accessory kit that includes a microphone, mounting hardware, a 4G antenna, and a wiring harness with a SIM card slot. According to the company, the WTUNES-464DN-GPT is compatible with most car models and is backed by a one-year warranty. Its retail price is set at Rs. 49,999, and it is available through multiple online and offline outlets.
