URGENT help

thats a good point buying a complete card with a hdmi output....
never buy a vga to hdmi cable..complete waste of money..

but also remeber vga is good enough for carrying video..unless you always play 1080p material which can be handles by hdmi cable.....so think before invest
also you will again convert audio from hdmi to rca..as you wont use any hdmi avr.....
so in my opnion use audio from pc....and use video via vga...

okay about your vga cable i got your problem....your monitor dont have a vga port actuaally...it do have a cable integrated(coming from its inside) and at the cable end it has a vga port(male).... i do have a samsung crt monitor exactly like you....
anyway for vga route get this

3 Meter 15 Pin Male VGA 3M Cable Connect your Laptop To LCD LED TV Monitor etc. | eBay

THANKS DADA i heard that even HDMI doesnt fully support some times when TV is used as monitor so will VGA be good enough? in terms of viewing and if i attach my hi-fi permanently to the TV and then for video i use VGA will i not get the sound?and if not suggest a scenario where i can use my hi-fi everytime(viewing TV) and whenever i connect my PC to the TV(through VGA)?thanks again.

your case is as following as i understand.:o
pc to tv video via vga....
pc to hi fi via rca

no need to connect hi fi with tv...you will get sound at hi fi and get video in tv...

by the way i dont see any point why hdmi wont support in tv using as monitor from a hdmi wala motherboard/graphics card...
