While researching on USB cables I stumbled upon the video below -
With my limited knowledge on subject, I am not sure if this really proves anything - but his methodology seems pretty sound.
And results are quite drastic when comparing/measuring different USB cables.
What is the opinion of the tech minds here - about the flaws in his methods or dissection of his results?
****Though I recommend watching this video, for those with no patience.
1 - He takes the same file, played & recorded on the same gear, just with the difference of the USB cables.
2 - He then takes the cheapest cable as the standard - as bits are bits
, inverts all other signals & plays. Ideally they should all cancel to be mute, however with different cables there is some signal still present.
3 - He also addresses some doubts about his methods.
4 - He also uses 2 different recordings using the same cable to check the difference.
Thanks!
