Used AVR + Speakers - Please guide on Deal URGENT

Read on this forum that couple of fellows are selling used AVRs. Few Questions :

1. How good is Yahama HTR 5830 and Infinity TSS 1100 speakers.

2. Both above are 5+ years old, would it make sense to buy these. Price is around 18-20K for the 5 speakers and AVR.

A 5 year old AVR with no HDMI, how good would be that. Also 5 year old speakers? Would not that have limited self life?

Similarly there are other offers for cambridge audio etc.

If you don't need the HDMI connection, that AVR can still serve you if it is perfect working condition... Pricing is fair...

If you are interested in that product, and from the same city as seller, i think you should physically inspect before you make your choice & then negotiate further if required....

It is a good deal.
Without HDMI you can miss some high definition audio formats like DTS HDMA, Dolby TrueHD.

Please check the product physically and negotiate.
