Ur observation is very true. Actually all the 12" 45rpm's I have got have fantastic SQ. Be it ghar, gharonda, golmal, baton baton mein........the list goes on. Same is true for the bengali releases also. Normally I pick up any 12" 45rpm I get whenever I go for my Vinyl hunt at Wellington. If the records r not damaged by bad scratches then 99% chance is there that they r in nice playable condition.
And surprisingly till the present vinyl boom that shoot up the 2nd hand prices at Wellington, those 12" 45rpm's were comparatively cheaper than their 33rpm counterparts. Even now they r relatively cheaper if u can bargain well.
