I'm not sure if the Kallax is meant to be mounted on the wall, at least I don't know if anybody has tried The smallest one with 4 squares measures 30x30 inches. The thickness of the enclosing boards is 1.5 inch while the dividers are 0.5 inch thick.

It can be mounted on a wall as per the Ikea website.
