I don't understand, how do u change the settings for a HDR? Isn't it like a default thing in TV's?

Or does one have to go in settings and enable it?

You have to enable HDR by default it's off. Atleast in MI TV I had to enable it. If you have Netflix then you can test Netflix HDR videos after you enable HDR on your TV
