I am still looking for a tv - after a 64 inch samsung peeling issue, and the LG 60" pz550 being discontinued (according to dealer) i have given up looking for a 60+ incher at 2 lakhs.

I am now looking at a 55 inch LED in the interim, with (hopefully) good TVs being launched during diwali.

I came across VU Tvs recently (owned by Zenith computers / Devita Saraf). The interesting bit about the LED is that it has a full blown PC built into it. With a core i3 processor, wireless keyboard, etc etc. It is selling for 1,25,000 for a 55 inch LED in Delhi. Though they did not have the keyboard to show yet.

Any reviews on this set?

Or recommendations for 55 or 60 inch sets?

Regards,

Varun

Buy Samsung PS55D6600 3D LED available for around 1.67L (letsbuy.com, ezone and many other places). One of the best LEDs in the market.

the company vu was discussed twice on forum , read and take ur call

If u can extend your budget to 2.5L then Sony 55" HX925 is a fantastic set... I would rate it at par with most of the high end plasma tvs :) ... If your budget is strictly 2L then Sammy D8000 LED/plasma is a good choice...

PS LG 60" PZ550 is available online for 1.32L on letsbuy & also for 1.07L on infibeam(although it is out of stock now)...
PSS I got a quote of 95K for a VU 55" LED so the super TV is 30k more for a cheap pc integrated(not a bad idea) although you could build a really nice HTPC for 30K :) ...

Have a look at the 60 inch quattron LEDs by sharp. I found it was very good at a demo here in Kochi. Details not known. I was not interested because the price was way above my budget.

the 60 inch z550 LG was on my list but i was told by the dealer that it was discontinued because of some issues.

i bought (and returned) the 64 inch samsung d8000 (my set started peeling). i have a budget on this one because i would ideally like to spend on a 65 incher. and use the 55 inch in the interim, and eventually guest room.

Dear Varun,

I bought the same from the Select Citywalk store during their promotion. I think this is one of the most fantastic TVs around. Made a lot of things easier for me. I just download stuff dump it on the HDD and then watch it through the TV. I can stream and with the wireless keyboard makes it a lot easier to surf the net as well. It also lets me connect a USB HDD directly to the TV and watch HD/ 3D movies.

The picture quality is at par if not better than the others.

I give it a thumbs up!

Hope you will take the right decision.

Cheers,

R
