I am on lookout of purchasing a new cell phone, recently lost my less than a year old Nokia C7-00 . I am not going to spend more than 12K but that does not mean I will not go for any set even at half the price, cost effectiveness and value for money is under my consideration.
My main requirements are
1. Secondary camera support at front for Video Calling
2. 3G
3. Wifi
4. Dual Sim (although not much plans to use it immediately but still want to keep this provision)
5. Flash in camera (reqd but not for photo shoot but this works as a good torch in emergency)
6. Good battery backup
7. Durability (if I do not lose again, phone should work for at least 3 years)
8. Qwerty Keyboard (nice to have)
9. Android (Must Have)
Here are a few shortlisted phones arranged on order of Price (low to high)
Micromax A78 (~ INR 7K)
Micromax A78: Price in India, Reviews, Specification: Flipkart.com
This phone has amazed me quite well at the price point. Has all that a need with an additional full qwerty keyboard which does not compromise the screen size like the galaxy pro duos. Just wonder how are micromax phone w.r.t durability and feel (touch screen ease)
Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos (~ INR 8.5K)
Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos B5512: Price in India, Reviews, Specification: Flipkart.com
Slightly smaller screen due to qwerty keyboard but branded by samsung and hence the additional weightage. May not seems to have Flash
Karbonn A9 (~ 9.5K)
Karbonn A 9: Price in India, Reviews, Specification: Flipkart.com
Good reviews on flipkart but in doubt for KArbon brand. Camera is better and battery backup is good.
Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos (~)
Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos S6802: Price in India, Reviews, Specification: Flipkart.com
My favourite but for all wrong reasons, probably by brand value. Does not have Flash and front camera hence not much advantageous to buy. Also the previous KArbonn had better processor power.
Please suggest if I should be looking at anything else or need to chose from the above list
