Want to create a Speaker cabinet with 2 Woofers and a tweeter

Thanks for the reply Vaibhav.

Actually I am completely new to this field. Yes the speakers do have a heavy bass. Treble is ok. Actually I too designed a second order, 2-way cross over (using help of few online tools), the cross over was not professional (but ok for general use). The main hurdle was finding the raw components (inductor of particular value, pcb, etc).

Overall the sound quality is decent (better than my computer speakers :) ). While watching movie on TV, I can hear few minute details of sound (which earlier I could not hear from my computer speakers/headphone).

Thanks Again.

Himanshu

i suggest you stay with it for a while. enjoy what you have made. that's the most important thing. with the drivers that you have, the best configuration will be like i said a 2 way bookshelf. the sensitivities of tweeter and woofer match. the moment you add another woofer, you double the output from them, meaning bass and lower mids would be higher. hence you will need a tweeter with a sensitivity 3 db higher than the woofers under consideration. 3 db higher means double the volume from tweeter too. that way all frequencies would match up and you would get higher detail, more clarity and better imaging.

Thanks for the reply Vaibhav.

As you said I will here to these speakers for few months (1 or 2), simultaneously I will work on the cross over and If I get success in making one (2nd order - 2way crossover) I will replace existing crossover with it.

Thanks :)

Regards,
Himanshu
